Andalucia
is a wonderful area rich with clean coastal regions
with everything to offer single people young and
old, and the family or retired person. To appreciate
what this area has to offer, you need to visit
Andalucia many times. In the short term however
there are some fascinating day excursions to the
historic cities of Cadiz, Cordoba, Seville, Malaga
and Granada. Cadiz was founded
more than 1,000 years ago and is credited with
being the oldest continuously inhabited city in
the world. Christopher Columbus started two of
his famous voyages from here and secured the city's
glittering future as the major trading centre
for the Americas.Seville is the
capital of Andalucia and is one of the most romantic
cities in Spain. It's also the hottest city in
the whole of the Iberian Peninsula. This is the
place to go for genuine gypsy flamenco, fabulous
fiestas, bullfighting and medieval streets lined
with orange trees. Cordoba was
once the biggest and most cultural of all European
cities after the Moors conquered Spain in the
year 711 and made it their capital. Strong Moorish
influences are also to be found in Granada,
home of the wonderful Alhambra Palace which is
one of the country's most visited tourist attractions.
Malaga is a cosmopolitan town
where ancient streets rub shoulders with modern
shops and services - it was the birthplace of
Pablo Picasso and movie idol Antonio Bandera..

Many
of the ski resorts here are still relatively un-spoilt.
There are many challenging runs to be found and
the off-piste entertainment is typical of Spain…relaxed,
friendly and cheap. One of the main ski-ing areas
is the Sierra Nevada mountain range in the south.
The
Sierra Nevada resort is the only one with an established
international reputation. It's Europe's most southerly
ski-ing area with peaks, rising to 11,000 feet,
which are covered with snow for most of the year.
The snowy mountains can be seen from the beachside
resorts of the Costa del Sol - if you're holidaying
between December and April you can ski in the
morning and sunbathe by the Mediterranean in the
afternoon. The resort is just half an hour's drive
from the historic city of Granada, home to the
beautiful Moorish palace of Alhambra which is
one of the most visited tourist attractions in
Spain. The resort, which hosted the 1996 World
Championships, is popular with Spanish and international
skiers alike and boasts a good range of hotel
and self-catering accommodation, bars, restaurants,
health and leisure facilities.
Thank
you for visiting Axar Properties.
