| TORROX |
|
47km east of Malaga with
a population of 12000. A typical whitewash Andalucian
village. A village full of history with Roman ruins, and thermal
baths dating back to the 16th century. Major fair held in October,
Migas Festival held in December celebrations enjoyed eating migas
and drinking local land wine and local liquors. Only 4km from the
beaches at Torrox Costa a bustling seaside resort with long promenade
boasting fine restaurants. A group of fine sandy beaches several
of which have been awarded the blue flag. A very agreeable climate
summers averaging 30 degrees and warm throughout the winter months.

| COMPETA |
|
Competa nestles in the
hills some 30 mins drive inland from the coast at Torrox Costa and
about an hour's drive from Malaga airport. Approached through the
foothills of the Sierra Almijaras famous for the sweet, strong local
wine. 2,000 feet above sea level enjoying wonderful views over the
countryside to the Mediterranean in the distance. Very popular with
foreign residents enjoying a cosmopolitan mix of many nationalities
living in its whitewashed streets with numerous bars and restaurants.
The Sierra Almijara National Park close by - a protected area for
an abundance of wildlife, trees and sub-tropical plants.

| FRIGILIANA |
|
Just 7 km north of Nerja
lies the typical pueblo blanco of Frigiliana, sitting high on a
mountain ridge looking down to the sea. Voted the prettiest village
in Andalucia, the village is also important historically. El Fuerte,
having been the scene of the final defeat of the Moors of La Axarquía
in their 1569 rebellion. A tangle of narrow, cobbled streets lined
with whitewashed houses and small plazas to rest in and enjoy the
sunshine. The village produces its own wine and the works of the
many artists living in the area can be purchased in the excellent
shops selling pottery, ceramics and the like.

| NERJA |
|
Nerja has over sixteen
kilometres of beaches. The mountain range of the Sierra Almijara
provides the dramatic backdrop to Nerja and this combination of
mountain area, attractive town and beaches offers a huge diversity
of activity. The heart of Nerja is its Balcon de Europa. The old
quarter of the town remains virtually unchanged with its narrow,
winding streets and whitewashed houses. Nerja offers a huge choice
of restaurants and bars and many interesting shops. Nearby, just
outside the neighbouring village of Maro, lie the famous Nerja Caves
one of which has been transformed into a concert hall for summer
performances.

| TORRE DEL MAR |
|
This is one of the most
important and bustling seaside towns in the region with a huge choice
of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, discos, leisure facilities
and accommodation. Torre del Mar lies between Rincon de la Victoria
and La Caleta and beyond the busy town centre stretches an elegant
promenade, reputedly one of the longest on the Costa del Sol. Mixed
nationalities live in this lively resort and it is particularly
popular with holidaymakers during the summer months. The marina
and fishing port of Caleta de Velez strike a contrast nearby.

| VELEZ MALAGA |
|
The regional capital,
situated some two miles inland from Torre del Mar and thirty minutes'
drive from Malaga airport. Since ancient times, Velez Malaga has
been the most important town in the area east of Malaga known as
La Axarquia and it lies in the valley of the
River Velez. This bustling town has a good shopping centre with
many superstores specialising in consumer products such as electrical
goods, furniture, etc. and it is only a few minutes' drive from
a new commercial centre just off the main N340 motorway, which has
a huge range of clothes and gift shops, hypermarket and cinema complex.

| VIÑUELA |
|
The village of Vinuela
has a population of some 2,000 and is about 400 feet above sea level.
Driving distance from the coast is fifteen minutes and the airport
at Malaga can be reached in about forty five minutes. The creation
of the lake at Vinuela in its beautiful surroundings has created
a great deal of interest with new purchasers. Lake Vinuela is one
of the largest freshwater lakes in Spain and has become a popular
tourist attraction. The miles of lakeside paths are also popular
with walkers. Housing displays empathy with the tranquil surroundings,
whilst the attractions of the coast and the facilities of larger
towns such as Velez Malaga, are a very short distance away.

| RINCON DE LA VICTORIA |
|
A bustling commercial
town only 25mins from Malaga Airport. Long white beaches and long
promenade with a range of shops and restaurants. A mixed community
of residents and busy in the summer with many English holidaymakers.
Popular destination for those golfers who are staying at the Añoreta
Golf Course not far away. Nearby new shopping centre and network
of interchanges for the motorway providing swift links to all coastal
regions and inland to Cordoba.
